• Nobles of Null is a forum based roleplay site where sci-fi and magic collide. Here, Earth remains fractured and divided despite humanity reaching out to the stars. Worse still, the trans-human slaves of one major power have escaped, only to establish their own Empire, seething with resentment at abuses of the past. Even the discovery of aliens, though medieval in development, has failed to rally these squabbling children of Earth together with its far darker implications. Worse still, is the discovery of the impossible - magic. Practiced by the alien locals, nearly depleted and therefore rare, its reality warping abilities remains abstract and distant to the general populace. All the while, unseen in the darkness of space, forces from without threaten to press in. For those with eyes opened by insight, it is clear that an era is about to end, and that a new age will dawn.

    A Stunning PR Move (NSFW)

“Nope.” Geiben smiled politely, taking a step away from Ms. Sphenta, taking a sip from his drink. “Geiben is all you’re getting, Captain Folami, formally, at best.” She watched him step away, confused for a second. Maybe she was being too handsy again, she thought, and she frowned. “Well, you...

She waved her hand dismissively. “You’ve spent enough on me, you’ve been nice enough already. Worst case scenario I weasel my way into someone’s bed,” she stayed plainly, without much emotion. “Or sleep on a bench and roll the dice.” Looking back to him, she smiled. “That’s future me's problem...

    A Stunning PR Move (NSFW)

She stared at him, clearly somewhat hurt but smiling through it. “Yes well, what else can we compare ourselves to? We refuse to compare ourselves to the Daqin, who are basically just really vain humans, so the next best thing is you. Until we come up with something that works for us, which Doc...

    A Stunning PR Move (NSFW)

She frowns lightly, suddenly interested in another, adjacent, topic. “Did you have a choice? I feel like these sorts of things take a lot of planning but can suddenly speed up without you knowing your right from your left and suddenly you’re the Captain of an insurrection.” She poked a fork...

    A Stunning PR Move (NSFW)

She smiled, shrugging lightly. “You’re right Captain.” Looking around, again, she took a deep breath and calmed herself. “Sorry, this is just… very new to me. Being all open and aggressively pursuing… anything! I’m not exactly the bravest warrior.” She held up a hand, showing her arm to him...

“We won’t be able to provide arms until the advisors we provide you are confident in your group’s cohesion.” Geiben regretfully but firmly admitted. He observed the Chongwu’s increasing stress and was reminded of his previous encounter. “Do you want to go outside and talk? Somewhere quieter?”...

    A Stunning PR Move (NSFW)

She frowned, looking at her drink. “It’s weird to think of us all as animals. It’s not hard, given… me being me, but I like to think we’re just a little bit better than simple creatures. Afterall, sometimes we sit in bars and talk business.” “Well, sometimes you look at all the bullshit we’re...

    A Stunning PR Move (NSFW)

As the grand designs of the Machine Doctor were in play, the ship in the midst of reconstruction, he was already working on playing a small bit of politics. It turns out that Geiben’s stint as the PR guy was far from over, though this particular mission sounded, at least from the report given to...

    Exclusion Zone: Black Box

"Damnit!" He sighed, panting heavily. "I don't know! Probably still in the ship!" He tore himself away from the one dragging him away, too crazed and panicked to be thinking straight as he leaned into the crashed ship and yelled. "Fyleen! We need to leave, everything is bad, I hate this place...

    Chapter 11: Decision Making

Gwaed's gaze wasn't so easy to avert, watching the Professor carefully. "Sparingly then," he said. "I have little use for it anyway." He wasn't sure what to do with this machine when he got home, and honestly he wasn't looking forward to the odd looks he'd get from the people under his...

    Chapter 11: Decision Making

Gwaed looked at the box handed to them both, turning it over and trying to figure out how it worked. Despite that distraction, they did respond accordingly. "I concur with my ally, if necessary I will just wait for you all to die and then do what I must." The way he said it, it was more that it...

Comprendea was, somewhat ironically, panicking harder now as he realized something had been touching him in a sense. He was breathing hard, panting, and out of pure instict is was punching into the air around him, swatting at the darkness of whatever was around. He stumbled over to Elluin, his...

    Chapter 10: True Conversations

Gwaedcryf was caught off guard, briefly, by her words, though only she and Sai would notice his features change much. Maybe the Professor, if he was so damn smart. "I... I know." She looked weary, tired, and all at once his harsh words felt hollow to him, empty. He held a hand out to her...

Do you want to move to Play by Post on the Forums?

I would hate nothing more than moving it to the forums, which is me being dramatic but I much prefer doing it via the docs.

    Chapter 10: True Conversations

Gwaed inwardly sighed, and inwardly absolutely rolling his eyes. The professor was right, and that was annoying too. He had been watching them with those eyes of his, always watching as of discovering something new. It was creepy, as if they were animals. At least that's what it felt like. Not...

    Chapter 10: True Conversations

Gwaed huffed, wishing the situation had been different entirely. However, there was enough of that already. "Amisra," he spoke in their beloved tongue, "I am well aware you won't have forgotten the information you gained by days end, nor be the end of the human week." Hopefully she'd respond to...

    Chapter 10: True Conversations

"No, they were taken in as information," Muttered, lightly glaring at the Professor. "And it will remain there until I gain additional context for it. Do not insult my intelligence by assuming I let these terms 'go over my head.'" Surely he should know better than to assume, wasn't his job to...

    Chapter 10: True Conversations

Gwaed breathed a small sigh of relief at the elder woman's words. Whether he could trust her or not was something to worry about for sure, but still her words almost gave him hope. "That is... good to hear." He stated plainly. He looked around still with careful eyes, looking to where Sai...

Comprendea's breath hitched in his throat, his heart beating faster and faster, His body was screaming at him in every possible way that this expedition was in danger, that they all were in danger. Chapter 10: True Conversations

Gwaed had stood before the plaque written in his own text, the script he's learned growing up, with some amount of shock. There was no way this would have been set up just for them, would it? This was something immortalized by someone in the memory of another person, and he stared at it with...
